Good supper last night at Nick's.
Em had to run off to deal with small human after her ex-husband had somehow injured himself. Some folk can't be left in proximity to sharp objects or matches. I think Em's daughter, Holly, at eight-and-three-quarters, is probably more competent than the ex: but then again, she has inherited some of her mother's qualities, thank the Gods.
Topics of conversation were wide ranging, but somehow
shoarthing picked up on Aaron's riff from Hazel's party about me and older women. It amused Nick and Stephen anyway.
A very nice Claret and a very good Nuits de Saint-Georges from 2002....not a great year by any means, but a very good wine.
The music was mainly New Wave ('78-'81)
