Well that certainly was has to be the most unusual way to make an announcement - assuming you me a best man in the traditional rather than comparative sense - Congratulations, you are a lucky man!

Blimey Ken, I didn't think you read this blog.

Thanks v. much for your good wishes. Hope you and Sue are well, and SWMBO agrees that we should have you both to stay some weekend soon. I told her some of the stories of 'monk-baiting' from our schooldays. She wants to hear more. (Little Brother Sean springs to mind....)

Jeremy has decided that Madame is a dangerous woman without having met her; but he's hearing voices again. I hope he's taking his meds.

A proper announcement to come. Will have to let Janet and Juan know too.

I don't have a landline at pres as the flat is now gutted and being refurbished as I write, so am only reachable on my mobile.

Thanks to you all for your congratulations.. SWMBO didn't think that an announcement in 'The Times' was quite our sort of thing. Sub-fusc and with little fanfare....so a small aside does the trick just as well.
