Apart from remaining profoundly cynical about the political, most of my melancholia of the past months seems to have dissipated.
Now is the time to adopt better habits: cut down on my smoking; try to eat more (and better); remember the point of being fit (which is the natural condition of skinny and active folk like me - even in our mid-forties); and get my act together.
Does the onset of summer affect us all like this?
I noticed
vlion posted something similar a few days ago: I know I'm often slow on the uptake, but I feel this personal optimism has affected me as well. Grace to him.
It could be the constant sunshine, it could be the new old old guitar, or it could be nothing to do with these, but whatever: if not exactly a happy bunny, I approach contentment.
May you all be as happy as your circumstances allow.
May those in danger be safe.
May those in pain find relief.
May those who are worried have their worries assuaged.
May those who are angry find peace.
May those divorced from reality re-anchor themselves in the here and now.
May the sinners find redemption, and the strength not to repeat themselves.
