I was looking for the original of this, but it is disabled from embedding. But this is live from the BBC so copyright is a trifle different. Matt Johnson is a bit of a genius. My memory may be playing tricks on me here but I recall that his Dad had just died of lung cancer, and this song just came to him.

The album it's from, 'Dusk', was one of my favourite albums of 1993. Johnny Marr, David Palmer, D C  Collard, and James Eller made up the rest of the band, but by the time of this video had left.

Damn that I should be thinking of such things, but I've a small amount of time on my hands.
