I'm sorry about the temple. Both Secular & Reform Jewish folk always seem so rational, it's nice that they carried that over into the stained glass. I have to ask my chum Robin about the temple glass in London. I must confess I've only been into one synagogue, and that was to hear a sung service which was ravishing. I went with a then girlfriend who tried to get me to fib to her folk that I was actually Jewish (because I could easily have passed for such), and I suppose because it mattered. As it was I said nothing either way - Jewish, but secular was the assumption I was trying to leave without actually compromising myself - the stuff we'll do for a shag.
I'd love a chat about your missus sometime, but not knowing the lady would find it difficult to comment: I always let the girl wear the trousers and rule the roost - anything for an easy life.
As for personal religion I veer between Mathematical Fundamentalism, Omega theory, and Classical Paganism, depending on my mood. I'm working on a synthesis (syncresis?) of all three which should be completely individual, and which will finally out me as barking mad, and enable people to avoid me in the street without feeling too guilty.
