Re: 'Hunter' ?

Indeed. A very beautiful pocket watch. And I am sinfully covetous of such things, to my shame. Things, no matter how beautiful, shouldn't be able to exert power over one. (Only if you let them, whispers my conscience.)
Mind you, a nice '62 Strat or '59 Les Paul can have me in a similar state of gracelessness, not to mention Strombergs or other NY archtops.
Of course, the really valuable watches come from makers like Breguet, Dent, or the Great Swiss makers.
I love Dennison Half Hunter cases, and as Dennison was one of the original three Waltham 'Names', coming to England subsequently to manufacture casings, I'm happy with the combination. The company also cased Rolex's and others, but I like the Anglo-American take on things, being somewhat of an Americanophile, if that's a real word. (Which is why, though I hate what the US & UK are doing at the moment with all my being, I still think the 'special relationship' has something to offer, even if it's only a commonality of language - which, as we know, tends toward similarities in expression - which may also reflect similarities in thinking.)
