Joni's haunted my heart since the first time I heard her version of 'Clouds'. Then 'Blue' came along, and I knew I needed stop being a child. I owe her so much. As for 'Hejira' and 'Mingus', their maturity and scope go so far as to leave me speechless. Listen to the arrangements (like 'Down to You') on 'Court and Spark'.

One of my favourite artists - of all time. I put her up there with Miles & Duke. Apparently, it was meeting her that inspired 'Little Wing'. I'm not surprised.
