Blimey, who rattled Joni's cage?

There are times when....um....you just know that some things shouldn't be spoken about.

This rather took me aback for a bit and then I considered. Of course Joni is materially correct in her analysis of the differences between Bob Dylan and herself. Dylan is the great appropriator; and she is an artist who ploughs her own furrow, monomaniacally even. Where they are similar however is in the merit of their respective achievements in the field of songwriting.

Mozart stole, from wherever he could. He'd owe blackbirds royalties in this day and age. Poor great deaf Ludwig agonised to create.

I wonder if his Bobness will respond?

. . . quote from interview: "Fibres in a variety of colors protrude out of my skin like mushrooms after a rainstorm: they cannot be forensically identified as animal, vegetable or mineral. "

. . . but despite the teensiest soupcon of a hint of a resonance with David Icke, she's A-OK on Mr Zimmerman.

She may well be turning into David Icke, but she's essentially right about this. His Bobness is on record at smirking liking an uncontrollable Bond-villain at the accusation of plagiarism. And also being slightly hypocritical abou it in others (Paul Simon springs to mind).

There were a couple of good documentaries by famous film-makers which (because of Toby) I had to watch.

But I still enjoy playing 'Rolling Stone' a la Hendrix. (And Watchtower, for that matter.)
