I've been less than complimentary from time to time towards the Saxe-Coburg de Gothas in these posts.
However... the younger generation don't seem without merit. Young Harry seems brave and is prepared for service in Iraq, unlike any politicians son or daughter I can think of. The Royal family might be a bit dodgy (with the obvious exception of Her Maj), but they're a bloody site better than any of the politicians that complain about them.
When Blaa is prepared to put either his or his children's lives on the line, I might just be able to respect him more. Same with GWB.
Gods, think about it - politicians: even worse scum than a parasitic royalty, or an ensconced aristocracy; and lets face it, cowardly to boot.

And I'm going to blame Harry for being a bit rock 'n' roll and smoking the odd bit of weed. I don't think so. Getting mullahed is a perfectly reasonable OFF-DUTY vice. As long as he leaves the Nazi uniforms alone... (I know it was fancy dress, but it was still badly advised.)

Er - I'm hardly going to blame him either, am I. I was looking forward to the press coverage if it was, though.

The Nazi uniform was a shocking idea, I agree.

True m'dear.
I hope the press leave the young man alone. It's not as if they haven't enough material with the folk who like being in the limelight: the Paris Hilton, Lindsay Whatshername, Britney Somebodyorother etc.
And it's not as if any of these have won a Noble Prize, or contributed to human knowledge and understanding, or written a symphony.
Any rational world would turn around and say: 'Who are all these fucking nobodies, and why does anyone care?' but we live amongst the ignorant and the deluded, and it is also a democracy... ergo, we play by the majority rules.
(I know I've become an elitist, but I'm an equal opportunities elitist. Anyone can work hard enough, or think hard enough to make a contribution: everyone should make the effort.)
Love to Nick and Holls
PS
A female chum has asked me over for supper...don't ask for details now, but phone me on Monday (am busy Sat and Sun).
LoL

You're so *nice*.

And supper? Blimey. Do tell (on Monday, I know). I can tell you all about the deeply, deeply dull stuff I have been reading.
