Democracy has always been distorted by capitalism. That I can understand and even, to a degree, accept. But the more that people are isolated from the political process and the more dependent they are on media, the less the possibility of an informed public.

It's an issue I've been pondering for a while about Australian political campaigns and this really made me consider the need to enforce truthfulness in politics:
