Do you ever venture over to LJ, or have you written it entirely off?

There's a poster there named melissa_maples who lives in Antalya and writes extensively about her life in Turkey. She's a kick in the pants. Irascible in the very best way. Anyway, after reading her for the past five years, I am completely convinced that the media doesn't have a clue what's going on in Turkey.
