An interesting essay. The idea that there is a periodic swing between Keynsian and Monetarist economic theories, and we're coming to the end of the Monetarist part of the cycle, is one I've agreed with for the past few years. Mind you, so much depends on the US.

Hunh. Besides the automatic "Ha! It's The Guardian and anti-conservative!" reflex, the concept appears to be at least plausible.

most of the comments display the "standards" that modern communication (and by extension: education) have come to...
... but the remainder are also interesting reading.

While we are on a cusp of a big change - in full throw of the havoc surrounding the change... I as of yet am unsure of what's going to happen.
I think in the short we need to prepare carefully for ... a lot of collapses.
