The now of politics in Britain.

Pretty good speech from Gordon, actually. Pretty good speech indeed. He's been dithering and wavering for too long: could the financial crisis have put some backbone in him? It must be said that he's made mistakes: selling off gold reserves; PPP; etc etc, but in a time of grave crisis he certainly has more economic experience than the Milibands or the Camerons of this world.
Hmmm.
I'll hold my judgement for a while.

Of course, if Murdoch's press trashes him and the speech I'll have to be careful of a kneejerk reaction: anything the Sun says (and the Times agrees with) has almost by definition got to be wrong.
I exaggerate, of course.
Maybe.
Hmmm.

You have to battle Murdoch over there too, eh?
Someone needs to take the fangs out of that freak..
