Can anyone tell me please, is this true?

We'll tell you what the facts are, then you'll tell the scientific/academic community.
If things continue like this, very soon the US will be the laughing stock of the academic world, no matter how great the funding which the prestigious universities of America have to hand.
And when it comes to climate change I'm so glad the US Government isn't intent on following Canute (or Knut) in attempting to hold back the tide - capitalism becomes so insidious it saps us of our will to survive, we couldn't stop it now, even to save ourselves. We're all dead meat, my dears. (But we were all that anyway, and perhaps the time has come for this particular lifeform to die out.)
The nice thing is our children will have to deal with the inheritance of adversity caused by our own good selves. These generations now living are the most selfish that have ever lived, and must really hate their children too.

Not much makes me happier than a spirited anti-capitalism rant to begin my morning. I'm *supposed* to be writing my academic paper today, on a subject not too far from capitalism so insidious that it saps our will to survive. So, this will get me off to a good start.

Thank you for that. I'm looking on ABE books for a copy right now. Information is such wonderful currency: as usual, I'm indebted to you. Bleeding hell, the Aussies seem to have some good thinkers as well as good cricketers, damn 'em.
