G spot, I see no G spot....Because you're blind in one eye, you stupid ass.

One is almost tempted into the overuse of heavy irony here and say "quelle surprise". I wonder again about the differences between nature and nurture.
We are a diverse species and our diversity is a good thing: it enables us to fit into many evolutionary niches, which, as we are top predator and scavenger as well, give us good chances of survival. We are adaptable. We are also stupid, hidebound, and given to sloth and fouling our own nests (mainly because we regard it as cheaper to let someone else clear up after us).
But the folk who have, over the years, told women what they should and shouldn't be thinking and feeling; and what constituted 'normal' behaviour and sexuality (mainly men, it has to be said), have been talking through their arses, where there appears to be no G-spot as yet discovered (unless you ask an homosexual man - some of whom will tell you different). Perhaps all these folk telling women this stuff just had something to prove, or perhaps hide....

What is interesting is this may revive the old debate about vaginal orgasms and Freud. It may also irritate some feminists, but I hope not.

I've also heard a theory that the clitoris has "arms" that extend to the opening of the vagina, and that these get stimulated during sex. One recent theory states that the distance between clitoris and vaginal opening is a good predictor of whether a woman will orgasm from intercourse alone.

I, of course, find all this fascinating. Not that I've ever had any trouble, but I certainly feel for those who do.

Perhaps folk will actually map out some of this geography and give the ignorant amongst us (chaps of the male gender, that is) some notion of what it is we're supposed to be doing at least some of the time.

I'm all for that.

(I speak for this feminist when I say that. I think we could all benefit from female orgasm being easier to achieve.)

From my experience, it always takes a certain amount of time to 'learn' a new partner's body. Some women are direct, some not....the trial and error factor inevitably leads to an amused apprehension. The editor in your head always wonders: 'Am I doing this right?' 'Is that a good sign?' etc....right up until the point where you think, 'oh well, that worked thank god' or those humiliating times when you just know you haven't gone about it the right way at all. Not of course that such has ever happened to me....

Heh.

I think it helps if your partner is familiar with her own body, too. Which is why I hate modern Western culture for discouraging women from exploring their sexuality. I mean, how's a girl supposed to know what kind of attention is best if she's never found that out for herself?

I mean, like I said, never had a problem, but even I take a LOT of repetition of what feels good.

So true. Women that do not understand how their own bodies work must need be a labour of love.

Thank you, that's answered a question I haven't asked.

Yeah, I probably should've warned you, once the subject comes up, I'm TMI Central. ^ v ^;

Not presuming to speak for women, but it can happen the other way round.

I'm sure....(did I say that aloud?)

Nope.
