Disgusting, but not at all surprising. Peace in the region will never come until both sides genuinely want it. Right now, the leaders of both peoples want the conflict. What better way to control your people than scapegoat some other poor sap?
I've reached the point where I think we should completely pull out of the region. No Arab oil means no problems with Arabs. No support for Israel means they break all their toys. No more attempts to stop the Israelis and the Palestinians from killing each other means thousands of deaths. Eventually the body count will rise so high, and the stench of blood so thick, that both sides are going to sue for peace.
