They are creepy, and it sounds as though he may take some crap.
I remember that I got into trouble for defending a girl who had gone catatonic from being raped from a man who was groping her in the middle of the little sitting room in the adult ward when I was 17 my first time in. He had his between her legs, and she was crying, but there was no sound, or change in facial expressions. It was slightly surreal, and took me a moment to actually get over my shock it was actually happened before I tried to tear him limb from limb.
Despite the fact that I, and two girls all said the man was doing what he was doing AND the fact that this catatonic girl had been reduced to a whimpering mess, they discounted everything said. They decided I was dangerous to everyone after they found me trying to kick in this mans door to his room to get to him. He ran away, and locked himself from harm and was LAUGHING, can you believe that? I so wanted to hurt him at that point it took 4 security guards to pull me off once I got the door kicked in. The girls were actually helping to fend the staff off from getting to me. Not one thing happened to the guy who was doing all of that either, the nurses were all worried about him and how he was feeling. I ended up locked down in my room for 3 days, and he was free to go. He ended up back to what he was doing within the hour. One of the girls had to hit him in the head with a chair to get him off of the catatonic girl. Like we all didn't have enough crap to deal with, let alone that poor girl going through that all over again? Ugh.
