May. 1st, 2007 12:24 pmHooray Hooray, the first of May
Outdoor sex begins today.
Now that is apparently traditional, although it reads like it was written by Philip Larkin.
Alas it will not do for me: for my love resides across the globe - but I'll Live. And one Mayday I might just have the good fortune to find myself on the same Continent, and then with luck, she and I will celebrate in the appropriate fashion, but in private.
I wish I had a large high-walled garden not overlooked by anyone else. Surely that's what country houses are all about - no wonder the upper classes were traditionally so uninhibited.
Never mind, there's always next year.
Much better than marching or going on strike I suppose.
In the end, we all think of our own pleasures, some of the time at least.
May those of you in relationships enjoy Mayday properly, without being overlooked.
