The levels of egregiousness are just too much for me to restrain myself. I know the talking heads can't hear me; but venting provides a valve on the internal pressure cooker.

I hate most politicians. But I can at least respect and support some of those opposed to the extreme right wing lurches in the Anglo-Saxon polities.

When Trump goes on about "AntiFa" he's talking about me; my father who fought in WWII; my uncle who lost an eye in that conflict; and all those who died rather than let the fascists take over. I'm a liberal capitalist with kids in private school. I'm AntiFa.

Anyone trying to trash my father's memory, or any of his generation, gets short shrift from me.

If you are anti-AntiFa it means you are pro-fascism; it is just that fucking simple. So...

Trump is a fascist, as are all of his followers who object to AntiFa.

And as for me, I hate fascism.

I get the feeling logic, corollaries, and comprehension of language and meaning are beyond these people. But why the fuck aren't our journalists calling these wankers out about this?

If you are against AntiFa you are a fascist. We need to hammer this point home; again, and again, and again. Until they understand that we know what they are.

"AntiFa," in the States at least, is a code word for a group of Leftist Militants. It's a ridiculous code word because the group does not exist as an organized membership with rules and hierarchy. But its evocation has nothing to do with WWII.

Or just maybe your media is pushing that as an idea. According to the FBI, as I'm sure you know, AntiFa is neither a terrorist organisation nor even far left.

It's a code word used to divide those against fascism. And I'm having none of it.

Maybe we have to inform some of them that Churchill, whom Trump seems to regard well, railed, in the wilderness years against the Nazis, and then fought them to the death; allying himself with anyone that would oppose fascism and nazi-ism, including Uncle Joe, eventually.

And when they claim equivalence between the Nazis and the Communists, it might do to gently remind them of the category error they are making. Though the Communists killed more, they didn't do so on the basis of race or disability.

And yes, the Commies murdered all of their political opponents. And so did the Nazis.

I don't like either, but I can make a judgement on the moral differences despite the death tolls.

Normally I'm pretty consequentialist about things; however, just sometimes, politics can take on a deontological edge.

Trump and his cronies want "AntiFa" seen in those terms. Some of them would quite happily use the word to discredit US involvement in WW2 if they could. Trump would, I'm convinced of that, given his father's history.
