Sep. 4th, 2007 08:31 amI awoke to good news today.
The Shia and Sunni factions of Iraq have been in secret talks in Finland.

Kudos to John W McCormack graduate school of policy studies at the University of Massachusetts in Boston.
There is some hope of getting this damn situation sorted without guns and bombs and deaths and massacres.
Perhaps the combating factions have to realise themselves that diplomacy is in their best interests, and they need to give up violence first. This is the best news in ages: may it get better yet.
Fingers crossed.
