Well....I had my flexible sigmoidoscopy. Quite painful actually, but interesting nevertheless. They focused in on a polyp which they then removed. I saw the process happening on a monitor. They also found that I am suffering from diverticulitis. I've been booked in for a colonoscopy later in the year. This procedure will be done under anaesthetic, unlike the flexi sigmoid.

On the way home I broke wind and filled my trousers with what I can only describe as lubricant. This may have been your average public-school prefect of a certain period's idea of heaven, but I found it more than slightly uncomfortable and embarrassing to boot.

Thankfully SWMBO found it amusing.

Fingers crossed that there ain't too much wrong with the Ninefingers colon.

Do you remember the black memento you left at my house? This evening, my 9 year old daughter found it. She held it up by one end and wobbled it about whilst asking me what it was.

Answers of the back of a postcard please. I had no idea what to say. Makes a camera up the arse seem positively welcome.

Honestly Em, you really should have put it somewhere out of the way....'Well, it's a rubber rolling pin' might possibly have worked.

It was in a plastic bag in a box under my bed. I was distracted. She knows what a rolling pin looks like and it's far too lumpy for that.

You should never have modeled for it in the first place. Its' all your fault.
