Now, how the Tories/LibDems respond to this information in their new coalition government....given the Tories backing from NewsCorp et al, will count for something in my estimation of their attempts at governance.

Power now? Deputy Prime-Minister Clegg? Some say in steering the ship as it falls over the edge of the world? Changing the archaic voting system? SWMBO thinks it's all quite positive and (possibly naively, according to Herself) might bring out the best from those concerned in respecting others' views, in a country that hasn't given any single party a clear mandate.

According to Madame, they (the LibDems that is) would have lost too much face if, having said they would deal with the party with the majority of votes if at all possible, they then reneged on such an election commitment.

Politics being about credibility to some extent.
