Well, the Welsh beat the Irish, so the Ma was a little less happy than per, then the Scots beat England which left me morose: as if losing at Rugby should make a chap morose. I hated playing the game when at school. Up to my armpits in freezing mud on a December morning was not my idea of a good time. Because I was tall, they put me into the second row of the scrum (or Lock as the position is known nowadays) wherein I managed to be injured by a member of my own team. At the time, as I walked to the infirmary to be ministered by a nurse, I put it down to enthusiasm rather than a personality clash but even so.....
Ergo, I regard it as a spectator sport, but am still disappointed when my team lose. Soon we may have the Argentinians playing in what is at present the  Six_Nations_Championship too. This would be a good thing as they're an excellent team, and to be quite frank, it's time as nations we buried the hatchet.

Saw this: http://arts.guardian.co.uk/art/visualart/story/0,,2263402,00.html?gusrc=rss&feed=40 about a National Portrait Gallery exhibition.

Why didn't men appreciate clever women? Was it because most men were a bit dim and couldn't stand the challenge? Hmmm.

The one thing I can say about every chap I've befriended on LJ is that they do appreciate clever women. Perhaps now in the 21st Century men will finally realise that they're better off with an equal in their life, than a dependent.

Lately, I've tried spending time on Facebook, but I find I prefer the ways of doing things here rather more. There appear to be lots of nice people on Facebook: whereas LJ appears to be full of folk who write, which attracts me more, I think.

When next in Town at TPA I shall take some time off for lunch and I will go to the National_Portrait_Gallery  and wander around looking at pictures of intellectual heroines from history, perhaps even in the hope of bumping into a modern day version thereof. But I shan't be too disappointed should I fail.
When I get back from Cannes....
