Surveyor comes in on Tuesday, as does the kitchen designer. Builders the week after.
But apart from that all is well: excepting war, famine, pestilence, etc.
Good ol' Russia....turning the West's foreign policy on its head in one simple and easy invasion. Damn-fool Georgians for precipitating it, but we hardly have a leg to stand on, morally speaking. And we were all hoping the 21st century's competitions were going to be bloodless economic ones against China and India. Well, this chill wind will give the MI Complex a kick in the pants, which may be good for us economically in the short to medium term: which is all the politicians really care about.
And will there be a Beijing 'Bounce' for Gordon Brown? He seems too far down in the polls at the moment: but if a week's a long time in politics, 17 Olympic days is an æon, if that's the name of the period for which I'm stretching.
