However, I do think the tuning problems between the various sections can be rather off-putting. The 13/8 bassline is slightly sharp, dammit. Though the polyrhythmic playing of Bruford in that section is both witty and brilliant. From what I can recall, for some of it he's playing an accented straight four under a bassline of 13.
Mind you, the opening to 'One more red nightmare' is the best pisstake I've ever heard of 'Smoke on the Water'.
