Yesterday, being a Wednesday...

johnny9fingers…I took Felix out for lunch.
He was coherent and, at least some of the time, less non-linear than he has been. Nevertheless there were still some leaps where imagination and actuality collided in some bizarre accident, leaving any objective narrative of events awaiting a morgue truck to take the remains to the Coroner's for forensic examination. But this is about Wednesday, I hear you sigh: and what else is new?
He was pretty chuffed about his birthday celebrations, hosted by one of his brothers, in Brighton. All of Felix's family were present and, according to his accounts, a good time was had by all.
He did mention that his cleaner, who is staying with him, also has psychiatric problems. Apparently she had a few unfortunate incidents of stress-induced schizophrenic pyromania, or somesuch. After all, arson is such a loaded word. Felix also mentioned that, as he was now chief psychiatrist for the Borough of Croydon, he had written a report to the relevant authorities which enabled his houseguest, as I now think of her, to avoid incarceration in a locked ward of some description for an indeterminate amount of time.
As usual, I managed to avoid swerving off the road. I'm pretty sure Felix isn't sleeping with this lass: but who knows?
I wish him happiness and contentment in his personal relationships. And safety, of course.
