ankh156  arrived at twenty-past two in the morning, or thereabouts on the morning of the 10th. We sat up until four playing guitar. An early start the next day as he had to buy a new pedal, which I shall let him tell folk about himself.
Great noises though. Hammond clone and Leslie. I think the noise is monsterous. He also bought his early 70's Epiphone semi with him. Nice guitar.
He's a good player too. Some nice arrangements. He has a few he'll send me. 'Blue in Green' is one I really want (being a sucker for Miles and Gil Evans), 'Goodbye pork pie hat'...another.
A few folk came over last night, which was cool, and tonight I've accepted an invitation for supper from Em and Nick. At least ankh156  will eat well.
He departs tomorrow morning for the boat which leaves at 12.30.
In the meantime we'll spend a bit more time arguing about relativism, morality, aesthetics, ethics and philosophy: and playing guitar when that gets too boring.
He's invited me to play some gigs in France. This might be a laugh, especially as my grasp of the French language is almost non-existent, being monoglot and slightly stupid.

take heart from eddie izzard. the french loved him, and even laughed at his jokes in schoolboy french. i believe they are a sucker for an english accent so as long as you give it a bash they meet you more than half way.
