Nov. 3rd, 2007 10:32 amListening to 'Late Junction' on BBC Radio 3 on Thursday as I was driving back from chums, giving other chums a lift home.
It started with a long piece of Indian music that was (as is usual on Late Junction) pretty damn good actually, but nevertheless generic, alas. After dropping the other guests at their home I turned for home and the most extraordinary piece of music came on. The biggest, fattest, most distorted reverb/delay saturated guitar and an androgynous voice singing in an unknown foreign language.
So I waited to hear who it was.
Sigur Ros?
I'm going to have to buy the albums and see if they are of a similar standard.
Perhaps some modern music is worth spending time listening to.
