I may have spoken too soon about The Girlfriend recovering. I took a sample over to the surgery and then left for TPA. I called Madame back after two hours in the studio only to find she had seen the emergency doctor and was on a new set of antibiotics. I left for home, I mean Madame's place, immediately.
Her temperature is hovering about 40 centigrade and I've been in touch with the Mother (who is apt for this sort of thing having been in her time in charge of an A&E department) and am monitoring the situation with all emergency numbers to hand.
Blast. But I can do nursing, as I know already.

I can't describe what it does to me inside to think of you in a tight white skirt carrying a clipboard and preparing to perform some delightfully invasive procedure on my person.

I hope your lady gets well. It is heart-rending to see someone you love unwell. Something I used to be irked by, but now enjoy is just having someone there with me when I am not well. Not particularly talking to me, or touching me, just nearby, in the event I wish to have someone to speak to or reach out to. Perhaps when you find time, just sitting with her, even if she is sleeping will help her. I've had more than my share of experiences in hospitals, and they are dreadfully boring. Perhaps you can manage to cheer her up in a pleasant way if you can manage to lock the doors for a moment and be gentle.

Recovering is good. I hope she is.

I wish you all the blessings of good happiness.

(tonight I see my lady again - I can't wait *grin*)
