So Gordon got it right, or so it seems. He got in with quantitative easing,(and other measures) quickly enough. Shame he didn't give the FSA some teeth.
Of course, even if we come out of recession ahead of every other major economy, we still won't re-elect Brown. Though the Tories would have tried to balance the books too soon, as they've clamoured for in the intervening months (and we'd all now be in a pretty pickle had they succeeded) I'll still have money on Cameron's team winning the next election. Our electorate will vote as the newspapers tell 'em to, being slightly dim and inclined to agree with the last thing said with any authority.
Unless that is Rupert* comes out in favour of Gordon.....then all bets are off.
