Personal update

Well, the lad gets bigger: Henry is fourteen weeks and two days old.
After four weeks of sleeping through from 7pm until 6am, he's started waking again in the middle of the night. This can lead to a little tired fractiousness on both our parts. Also, I'm suffering a trifle from weed withdrawal. The dreams are pretty spectacular, when I can actually get to sleep.
But now I find the Guardian cryptic crossword completely beyond me. Also I'm not as good at answering the questions on 'University Challenge': time was when I could beat both teams to the punch, and usually at least beat the losing team, playing strict rules (only getting the bonus questions if I'd answered the starter before a member of either team). I grow more stupid, alas. This is unfortunate, but I'll live, as the saying is.
I am increasingly grey of beard and mane.
My finger joint has started to swell on the middle finger of my left hand. This ain't good for a guitarist. Have seen the quack about it and been referred for x-ray and blood tests. Possible rheumatoid arthritis, according to the GP. Dammit to hell and back.
I shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled, no doubt.
