Thanks to [personal profile] frickinmuck, for putting my mind to rest. Perhaps I won't have to up sticks after all. Hers is a voice of reason, and one I needed to hear. Also she put me onto the neatest back-up program I've seen:

http://www.ljbook.com

I'm going to have to give them some money.

If I left I would miss everyone on here: even those I really disagree with (you know who you are). This place has become like an extended family to me: silly, soppy idiot that I am. I love the wit and intelligence that is here in abundance, and I care deeply for many of the folk on LJ that I've never met in the flesh. Probably speaks volumes about the paucity of my external interests....but I'll live with other folk thinking me a sad low-functioning-almost-geek with no other emotional outlets, mainly because it's not quite true (and also I don't really care what most folk think of me).

All right, I've calmed down.
Again (and as publically as I can manage) I acknowledge I'm in [personal profile] frickinmuck's debt. May she always walk in grace, and may she know the favour of the Fates.

Oh wow. I just turned my old journal into a book, and that is 1011 pages if I make it so the end of a journal entry is the end of a page, and starting every entry on a new page. O.o At $30 for a "nice" journal per 300 pages, that would be roughly $100 in journal costs. WOW. I'm going to do this one I think. Of course, then it's a copy of EVERYTHING, and maybe I don't want that laying around...

I didn't know what to say the last time
as I didn't know the full context....

but (after reading) I'm glad you're sticking on.
'tis good having good conversations across the aether and with these tools we're all a little more "home" in ourselves and with each other.
