Nov. 22nd, 2007 11:32 pmNow that everyone's eaten themselves silly it's my turn to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. Celebrate your neighbours and be good to one and all....which includes all the relatives....even the embarrassing ones. And if somewhere in a corner, there's a slightly foxed and dog-eared 'Black Sheep' of the family, try not to set about his head with a baseball bat: in one house that 'Black Sheep' is me.

Date: 2007-11-23 07:57 am (UTC)(I enjoy it 'cause my company celebrates US holidays... much as that makes me *grr* sometimes when I miss a perfectly good show because I can't take the day off)
and *heh* in my family we've got white sheep: my younger brother.. and *hmm*... my mom I think. *thinking hard*. My father's mother perhaps. *thinking harder*. Yep - that's about it for four generations (at least). I suspect my niece and nephew - bright and silly as they are - will continue the trend of Not Being Normal.
Just to put things into perspective: My father's mother's mother was a handmaiden to Queen Victoria that ran off to Canada with this Irish lad... (and that should be enough info to find out who. I really should look that up sometime *grin* - it really was a terrible scandal at the time)
As a piece of advice from one of the non-white-sheep of the family:
Don't worry about it too much. Your relatives will tell stories about YOU and that just adds to the fun :)
PS: edited as my spelling is SOOO pre-Shakespear sometimes ;)
